Tushka-homma will teach and prepare you to be a modern day Warrior He attempts to live his life by a set of natural laws, they are called.

The Creeds of Tushka-homma or The Seven Sacred Feathers (The Spiritual)

There are seven sacred feather and four sacred compass points.  At every feather you must look to the four directions. These four sacred points originated in literal directions but for us they are spiritual directions -- you face the sacred North in any location.

As you face the North you must accept the spiritual values that govern your actions.  At the yellow level you must accept that your actions are for good rather than evil and to protect the weak -- this is the primary step and you cannot go forward in Tushka-homma until you embrace it.  Then you must look to the East.  The sun rises in the East; the Choctaw called it the 'eye of god.'  The sun reveals and warms and stands for reason.  Tushka-homma is a logical system.

You must learn, even at this yellow level that you have to establish a base, close the distance, intercept the weapon, control the weapon, disarm the weapon and neutralize your problem.  This is basic not only to the martial art system but to all aspects of the world in which we live.  You must demonstrate to Hashtali Roman that you know what this means.  As you face the South you will feel the cold wet wind.  You cannot protect anyone if you are not sheltered from disease and bad health. You must, even at the yellow level, have a goal, even if it is only doing ten pushups a day or cutting your calories.  Now you face the West.  The sun goes down in the west, taking away light and warmth.  You must build a fire for your loved ones, you must watch for the things they cannot see -- you must be able to defend them.  At the yellow level this will mean hours and hours of learning nothing more than how to stand and establish a base.  At the end you will have all four directions of the yellow feather. 

You will move upward if you are worthy, up through the feathers, paying your debt to the four sacred directions at each feather.  It will become very difficult.  Buying a system does not mean buying the belt -- it means buying the opportunity.  There is no guarantee that when you fly to Dallas, Hashtali Roman will pass you.  You may fail if you have not worked hard and your money will not be refunded and your time will have been wasted. 

At the Black level you must face the North and honestly declare that you have lost all egos.  You do not fear death, you do not want praise, and you exist only to be the best person you can be for your loved ones and your community.  You are ready to be an eagle.  You must face the East and realize -- and be able to explain and give examples -- that the concepts of base, closing the gap, controlling and so on were always far more than fighting techniques.  You must face the South and be able to tell Hashtali Roman what you are doing to stay in shape.  Even at 80 you can be the strongest 80 you can be.  Now you must face the West as the sun goes down. Your enemies approach in the cold and dark to harm your loved ones under the cover of darkness, hoping you are shivering in the cold. At this level you must show you can use a blowgun, bow and arrow, throwing sticks, staffs, short sticks, knives and many other weapons.  At times you will be blindfolded and your arms tied behind you during some trials -- a warrior can fight even without his eyes and even if he is crippled. 

At this point you will have come through 28 steps and you will truly be an eagle.

Are you ready to become a Tushka-homma Warrior?

The Tushka-homma Warrior is a humanitarian first and warrior second. He has the physical talent and skills to rival any modern day warrior. His thoughts and ideals go beyond the physical and his concerns are for earth and it people and all that entails.

The Tushka-homma Warrior attempts to live his life by natural laws. These laws are called The Creeds of Tushka-homma or The Seven Sacred Feathers (the Spiritual). The Tushka-homma warrior is more concerned with his journey of life on earth with a noble cause. It is a time for him to reflect back on his life and his accomplishments. He realizes that whatever success that he had achieved up until this time, the spiritual essence is missing in his life. A new birth and beginning must be experience every day. The Warrior must ask his God or the Great Spirit for guidance. It is a time to take charge of his destiny, to reevaluate and to set new priorities. This Movement of Life journey will have a profound effect on him and everyone that comes in contact with him. He will acquire knowledge and wisdom so that he can enlighten men along the way. If you are a Hatak Chukma (good man) all will come to know that you are a man of honor and integrity. If your heart is good, they will know that they were in the presence of someone who will make a difference.

Your Movement of Life journey may have take days, months or even years. This is a time to reflect and question your new path or if you must take a new direction tomorrow. As the Warrior faces the darkness of night and the impending dreams, perhaps a vision will come. The Dream Catcher will protect him from the forces of evil. Good dreams love the spider-like web. They travel softly across the threads and on through the center slipping into visions of success, happy memories and a rich abundant life for the dreamer's family. Bad dreams will be caught in the web and perished with the first light of day, never to bother the dreamer again. If the Warrior's heart was not good, none of this would be possible, and the Great Spirit would look the other way.

The Tushka-homma Warrior must keep his blood pure. It cleanses and purifies the body and keeps him strong and healthy. He understands that his body is a sacred temple and not to over indulge. The Warrior must posses a clear mind, so that he can see straight and makes wise decisions. He respects all living creatures of Mother Earth and is careful not to kill for the sake of killing. The taking of life is not taken lightly. He gives honor to the animal's that fills his belly and gives him nourishment. He must remain healthy and strong, not to be greater than his brother, but to fight his greatest enemy, himself.

The Warrior will always gives thanks to his God or the Great Spirit. He has the respect and wisdom to acknowledge the greatness of all the Heavens. He feels blessed to have the clear blue sky and deep blue waters to drink from. He is honored just to walk the forest and stares up at the great trees in wonder. The color of green represents life on earth and this garden will give him many things to sustain his life. It will give him the tools and weapons to make his life easer on earth. It will give him shelter in the harsh winters and cool shade from the hot summer sun. The trees will bare fruit to fill his belly and give his body nourishment. The Warrior will walk in the beauty and respect the thing that the Great Spirit has made. His ears will listen to The Great Spirit voice in the wind. Each new day gives the Warrior another chance to redeem himself and if necessary reinvent himself. Forever always changing to improve oneself for the better, yet knowing he will eventually run out of time and will fall short of perfection. Little does he know, but he has set the standards for the ones that follow him. If the Warrior's heart is good, he will leave his mark and make the world a better place. He did not just occupy space while he was here. He was a leader.

We are here but a short time and we must tend and manage it with care. Let us learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. It is not ours to own or possess. It is Mother Earth who will eventually possess all men. The Warrior has seen many winters and understands that the Mother Earth gives birth each and every day. Mother Earth provides the waters to nourish the trees and greenery that will intern fills the lungs of man with clean healthy air. The true Warrior knows that he is of Mother Earth and to desecrate it would bring disgrace upon himself. The Warrior is in the autumn of his life, and knows many things. He has become a teacher of life and without fanfare, will enlighten all who will listen. The Tushka-homma Warrior nears the end of his Movement of Life.

He has matured with age and has acquired respect, wisdom and an abundance of knowledge. He is not afraid to step into darkness for he has come to know success and victory. He is a leader among the greatest of Warriors. He began his life journey as the young wolf, and now has become the Majestic Eagle. His spirit soars closer to the heavens. Therefore, he is in touch with God and the Great Spirit. He is at peace with himself. When his life fades, as the fading sunset, his spirit will go the heavens. He will face The Great Spirit without shame.
